Short summary
Kirurgija Bitenc is a private surgical centre which, since 2000, has been providing specialist outpatient services, endoscopic diagnostics, surgical procedures and inpatient care. Its work is divided into three areas: specialist outpatient clinics, endoscopy and surgical procedures requiring hospitalisation.
Outpatient and endoscopic services are provided at the Zdravje Healthcare Centre at Vilharjev podhod 1 in Ljubljana, whilst operations and hospital admissions take place at the hospital ward within the Golnik Clinic. An operating theatre was opened there in 2007, which, at the time of its opening, was the most technologically advanced in Slovenia.

Job Description
At Kirurgija Bitenc, we are looking for a new colleague to fill the role of OPERATING THEATRE ORDERLY (m/f).
The work takes place in the operating theatre, in a small and experienced surgical team. If you are precise, reliable and at ease in a fast-paced environment, we would be delighted to meet you.
What will you be doing?
• preparing the operating theatre and equipment before procedures,
• helping to position and care for patients before, during and after a procedure,
• assisting the surgical team during operations,
• keeping the room and instruments sterile, tidy and disinfected,
• transporting patients and helping to move them,
• handling and preparing surgical materials correctly.
What are we looking for?
• completed secondary healthcare school (orderly / nursing assistant programme) or equivalent education,
• knowledge of the basic principles of sterility and of work in an operating theatre is an advantage,
• a steady hand, precision and the ability to react quickly,
• the ability to work under pressure and as part of a team.
Experience in an operating theatre is welcome, but it is not a requirement — we will also be glad to train motivated candidates.
